Researchers isolated peptides from hydrolysed sacha inchi meal and tested their effects on DPP-IV. Several inhibited the enzyme in laboratory assays.

GLP-1 is a hormone involved in signalling fullness. An enzyme called DPP-IV breaks it down.
The research examines how specific peptides interact with this enzyme.
WHAT DOES
THIS MEAN?
In laboratory tests, small fragments of sacha inchi protein, called peptides, slowed this enzyme’s activity.
In principle, slowing that breakdown could allow GLP-1 to stay active for longer. This study did not establish that effect in people.
WHAT THIS
DOES NOT PROVE
This was not a human trial of finished INCHY. It does not establish that taking INCHY increases GLP-1, changes appetite or causes weight loss.
The preparation and concentrations used in a laboratory study cannot be assumed to match a serving of the finished product.
